Mila takes a job in a new city with a boss who calls himself "Uncle Joe." He gives her a place to stay which is basically a closet with a futon. If she works enough, she doesn't owe him rent. But thankfully, Mila is aware of how comprising her situation is and eventually leaves but not without the help of her new friend Sam.
Sam, also known as Lil' Sam, works at the local MMA gym where he coaches beginners’ classes, struggles to get his own career running, and clashes with his boss and coworkers. He might leave his whole world behind but one day, a beautiful woman comes in. He offers her a place to live, helps her find a new job, and teaches her how to fight.
Sure, it sounds quaint and pleasant. But the other coaches at the gym aren’t respectful of Mila and Sam has his own baggage he’s been trying to leave behind for some time. And both challenges interrupt the love and romance Mila and Sam have for each other.
Will they end together? Of course. Will it be easy? Never is.
