My Life Without Perfection

My Life Without Perfection

Laura Dial
0/5 ( ratings)
When I decided to write this book, I thought about the people and the events that shaped and guided my life. I contracted Serratia marcescens shortly after my first surgery when I was six weeks old. Serratia marcescens spread into my bloodstream. This was the beginning of My Life Without Perfection. I was never able to totally overcome the lingering effects that Serratia marcescens left behind. This book is about my journey through the many trials and tribulations that a person with learning disabilities faces. I reflected back on those individuals who gave me guidance and all my caregivers who made all of my surgeries and recoveries successful. I have had to overcome physical, educational, and personal challenges. I hope to give the readers some insights into my world and the real world that people with disabilities face every day. I had many struggles in obtaining my education with dyslexia and locating employment with multiple disabilities. I must give much credit to attorney Jean L. King, who took special interest in my case and disabilities.
