Lots of great dark sci-fi short stories in this anthology. I read the Kindle version...a great addition to your Kindle library.
I always really enjoy Apex Magazine's stuff. The stories deserve individual review (A NIGHT AT THE EMPIRE may have been my favorite, with the Dr. Moreau retelling a close second). One thing I noted? The Year 1 anthology had *a lot of stories* containing rape and/or sexual assault, so readers may want to be aware of that. I'm interested to compare that impression to the stories collected in the Year 2 anthology.
This collection was dark and weird. My personal favorite stories from it were "In the Seams" by Andrew C. Porter, and "Scenting the Dark" by Mary Robinette Kowal.
Lots of my favorite stories are included here. Love having them all in one package.
