Progressive Women: Unsung Heroes Doing the Daily Work

Progressive Women: Unsung Heroes Doing the Daily Work

Elizabeth Conard
0/5 ( ratings)
Progressive Unsung Heroes Doing the Daily Work details the stories of 26 progressive women. We are older women struggling to change the world all our lives. We are White, Black, and Hispanic. We are working class, middle class, and affluent. We are Democrats, independents, Progressives, and Socialists. We are gay, straight, and bisexual. We are Christian, Jewish, animist, agnostic, atheist, pagan, Native American spiritualist, and Buddhist. We live in urban, suburban, and rural areas. We live alone, with partners, with children, with pets, and in extended families. We hail from 21 states and 2 foreign countries. Many of us are tired, but we keep on keeping on. Our hope is that this book will provide insight into what we’ve done, where we’d like to go, and how we all might work together to get there.
