In the entire human history there are only a handful of characters, who are the embodiments of simplicity and self-denial. In their quiet manner they acquire exemplary spiritual gains, which help them possess absolute trust and uncompromising faith in God. As such, they in turn, become privileged to earn God's trust and confidence. Their lives are dedicated to the service of God and maintaining the highest standards of human decency. By their acts and deeds they acquire abundant admiration and blessings of God. Yet they are totally unassuming with regard to the enormous contributions they make to prevent not only the extinction of the human race, but also the erosion of the human values and direct them to God's desired path. During their lifetime the Lord exalts them by asking them to walk with Him in full view of the masses and the enemies alike. They also perceive being honored when He talks to them directly, face-to-face. Moreover, in recognition of their self-less services to His cause, the Lord memorializes them by making them the head of a powerful, majestic and emulous linage or by creating some breathtaking signs and symbols in their honor. And since they are the Lord's creations to honor His chosen ones for some specific purposes, they are likely to endure as long as the earth endures; the nature's destructive forces cannot touch them, nor do the evil instincts of the mankind.Surprisingly, history has treated them somewhat unenthusiastically; as if, they deserve to be mentioned only in passing. They are vaguely remembered by the mankind as few decent souls who would be content to find their place barely above the footnote of history.Notables among them are Noah andJoshua. They both had been chosen by God to be His instruments of at very critical junctures of human history for the survival and disciplined progress of mankind. They performed the assignments entrusted to them with distinction and remained in God's contemplation forever. Mysteriously, however, they both failed to evoke enough attention of their fellow human beings.This book was conceived wit the solemn purpose of portraying Noah and Joshua at a loftier pedestal, the appropriate place where they rightfully belonged.
