This was a good story just to pass time, but it wasn't all that. It was a typical romance story where the MCs fall in love but one has a secret which sooner or later comes out and the other MC gets mad and they break up but then afterwards it all ends well. There were some things that were unrealistic as well in the story, especially to do with Brandon. During their first encounter he reveals that he doesn't have a lot of experience with other guys before but on the next page he starts rimming C...
It has some drag to it in the middle. You feel like at times they are jumping the same hurttle over and over again. Despite that though, the characters are in-depth and different enought to keep you intrested in the story. The plot eventually comes around and your glad you stuck it out because it's a good story. Honestly I'd read it for the characters though. The hunky hockey player that finds out he is more breakable than he thought and the sensitive nerd that finds out he is stronger than he t...
3.5 stars. This was cute. I loved the description of the book store (I'd love to own something like that). I liked the chemistry between the two MCs even if I didn't particularly like them. Brandon works for a big business book store chain, and Chance owns the local independent book store, just another fact that they don't bother to share until after they've fallen for each other. Book-Tropolis is determined to corner the book market in Twin Brooks at the expense of the local merchants. The relation...
I really, really wanted to like this book, but I couldn't get past Brandon. He was so obnoxious and self-serving. He thought he was all that! Couldn't like him at all. On the other hand, Chance was adorable. So sweet and way too understanding in my opinion. The story was not bad, similar to the movie You've Got Mail, but the constant use of the word 'dude' and Brandon's thoughts about himself and sexual escapades, simply left me doubting any HEA the author threw at me. I gave the 2 stars, mainl...
