In spring 2004, Mark Thompson debuted "Fellow Travelers: Liberation Portraits," a traveling exhibition which featured large-scale annotated photos of various artists, writers, and spiritual leaders who have inspired him over the years.
After its national tour, sponsored by the White Crane Institute, the exhibit was donated—along with Thompson's other photographs, manuscripts, and books—to the Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies' archives, maintained by the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California.
The images featured in the exhibit were combined with dozens of other photographs Thompson has taken documenting the Radical Faerie sub-culture into a limited-edition 2008 book, Fellow Travelers: Guides and Tribes .
