Fanionul roşu

Fanionul roşu

Radu Paraschivescu
0/5 ( ratings)
We got used to glorify the sportsmen. Eventually turn them into role-models. Red Flag suggests a different type of approach not necessary debunk but in any case realistic. Radu Paraschivescu reminds us that there were great champions who have entered the arena and behaved shameful, brutal or false. Some of them are described ironically, sometimes caustic in the mini-stories of this book. It includes cheating football players, boxers inspired by the cannibal rituals, snaky marathon runner and ice-skaters who change the ranking with the crowbar and bodyguards. And we talk to much about fair-play and to little about the renunciation of criteria.
The Sport is no longer a pure bride.
It is populated with all sorts of individuals determined to win medals at any cost, of moments when you ask "what's the point?".
