Fiction International is the only literary journal in the United States emphasizing formal innovation and progressive politics. Our thematic issues feature controversial fiction, nonfiction, indeterminate prose, and visuals by leading writers and artists from around the world.

The theme of issue #39 is Abject/Outcast. Our global society sanctifies commodities and consumables manufactured by multinationals as the hip, trendy, must-have; all else is abject, outcast.
