nice and concise. I would recommend this for anyone who would like a quick introduction of the Long tail.
very cool book, cool concept. I would read more books on economics if they were in comic book form! thanks goodreads for the complimentary book!
Gave this one to my husband to read as he is co owner of a business. He is not much of a reader, but he is reading this book....so it must be good!
Simple way to understand the long tail that related to our market condition where hit product market is substituted by niche market.
The Long Tail adalah penjelasan PALUGADA (Apa Loe Mau Gue Ada) Internet.
I won this book through Good Reads First Reads.I'll be perfectly honest, my interest in this comic book adaptation of The Long Tail doesn't go much beyond my curiosity to see if it translates well in comic book form. The subject matter is not something I'd read 'for fun', more like something I'd read if I had to, or more likely if I needed to.That being said, I'll get to the point. Does it translate well? Yes, I think it does (though keep in mind, I've never read the original source material, so...
Presenting a business economics book in the form of a comic book sounds strange, but the content supports this format choice. Anderson explains the simultaneously fragmentation and collaboration of culture through the introduction of various digital media, and how that changes the way businesses should operate. The long tail describes niche markets, and it is done in a way that is easy to understand for the non-economist.
This was a Goodreads giveaway. This gets a slightly better review than that last Smarter Comics book that I reviewed due to this actually having some content, but I still despise the comic book format for business related books. This book was about niche markets and how they have expanded due to the changes in technology. Since this relates to my occupation, it made it more bearable to read.
Quite an interesting take on how the new market is segmented parts of almost everything. While I take some issue with Netflix being called the movie aggregator, maybe it is better in the US compared to Canada where selection seems quite limited. Overall, was educational and a fun read. May eventually read the long form book.
I won this book for free through Goodreads First Reads. Thanks.
