Brad Turner and Haven Cooper have been busy. Together they have orchestrated a blind date between their best friends, Peter Lawson and Savannah Ashton. While the couples are enjoying a night of dining and dancing, Savannah is brutally attacked Bridgette Moore is one of Palm Beachas lead detectives; she is also a friend of Peter and Bradas. They became acquainted while she was working the attempted murder of Peter by his former fiancAe, Amber Crawford. Subsequently, Amber was charged with the crime and found legally incompetent to stand trial. She was sentenced to a mental institution for the criminally insane. Unfortunately, she has escaped, and those closest to Peter and Bridgette are being attacked and murdered. When forensics analyzes the evidence from Savannahas attack, they discover two things; hair recovered from the scene matches that of Amber, but it shows the characteristics of coming from a deceased person Conflicting evidence has Bridgette reeling for answers. Eyewitnesses have placed Amber in Florida, but a body is discovered in New York that appears to be Amberas. When Peter and Savannah are abducted from protective custody, Bridgette rushes to unravel this bizarre case before time runs out and she becomes the next victim.
