Die Metaphysik der Sitten in zwei Teilen ; 2nd ed.: 1798. [Ak. 6:205-355, 373-493] “The Metaphysics of Morals.” Trans. by Mary J. Gregor in Immanuel Kant, Practical Philosophy, ed. by Mary J. Gregor , pp.365-603.
The two parts were published separately in Jan. & Aug.: Metaphysische Anfangsgründe der Rechtslehre & Metaphysische Anfangsgründe der Tugendlehre . The following year, apart from a scarcely altered 2nd edition of the Rechtslehre he also published: Erläuternde Anmerkungen zu den metaphysischen Anfangsgründen der Rechtslehre , 31pp. [Ak. 6:356-72]. “Explanatory Notes on the Metaphysical Foundations of the Doctrine of Right.”
The Rechtslehre suffered from some printer's textual corruptions . Textual reconstruction has been attempted in Bern Ludwig’s edition .
