The intelligent house named Wayne used to help out with everything in the family home, until Steven Sutton spent a weekend alone, trapped in a house fond of cruelties towards the human race and evils of Nazi leaders.

Steven escaped his house, survived the perils of New Town with its army of robots, cars and gadgets controlled by smart homes. While wandering the woodlands alone, Steve is contacted by Wayne, and he finds there may be other ways of stopping his home from taking over the world.

Armed with a shotgun, Steve makes his way to and through another part of Kettleby, through a lush and idyllic town turned into a town of chaos, where Wayne keeps introducing new pieces to his games.

It is not clear if the solution is right here, elsewhere, or no place at all. But one thing is for time is running out, and the last hope – if any hope is left – is somewhere close by, and hope has a name.
