I was asked to read this book by a young 16 year old friend. My first thought was oh great, a book about a video game. After reading it, however, I found it to be great science fiction read. If you're a sci-fi person you should read it.
This book was amazing I really recommend this book for an awesome first graphic novel and the pictures graphics are really amazing as well.
Adapting the middle chunk of Eric Nylund’s “The Fall of Reach” novel, “Halo: Fall of Reach – Covenant” isn’t quite as much fun as the first volume – which, to be fair, is mostly because the middle section of the novel just isn’t as compelling as the first – but on its own merits, it’s still a fairly entertaining read. A big chunk of the credit for this has to go to Felix Ruiz, whose art style – while rarely “Wow”-inducing – does a more than serviceable job at clearly and eloquently bringing to l...
Halo: Fall of Reach the original novel by Eric Nylund, had a lot of memorable elements which added to the lore and backstory of characters such as a Commander Keyes, Blue Team, and of course Master Chief. It had shown how desperate humanity was against an unrelenting enemy, who over gunned, outnumbered and out teched them. UNSC and the Humanity were holding on by the skin of their teeth, thanks to secrecy provided by the Cole Protocol, the ingenuity, resourcefulness and superior tactics of its c...
The Covenant are dead set on annihilating humanity. While captain Wallace's ship that has transported them is delaying a Covenant ship, dr. Catherine Halsey presents Project Mjolnir, a newly developed armor that can give her trainees an edge in battle. John and his squad barely have time to aclimate to the suits before they need to act against the Covenant ship.(view spoiler)[They reach its energy core and blow it up with a nuclear device. Years later the Covenant are displaying an interest in a...
i enjoyed reading this book. it was short but i really liked the detail and the designs for the characters and the background. all together a good book. the only reason i did not give it a five star is because i think they cut some of the best parts short and at some parts it was vary hard to see what was happening. and plus i think this book would have been better if they added an elite or two into some of the fight sense.
A Video Game......A novel is written as a prequel to the Video GameA comic is created based upon that novelIs the world of Halo potent enough to warrant a novelization and a comic book adaptation? I think so.Is the art so piss poor in this book that you can't tell each of the main character's apart? Yes.It doesn't help that the master Chief's face is always behind his helmet, or kept in shadows, but what are you supposed to do, if you are trying to retain that "Insert yourself here" feeling for
This is the origin story of Master Chief. It's awesome to see how badass he was even when he was 6 years old.I love Halo and its lore, but I never really considered picking up the comics. A friend lent me his copy and I'm glad I gave it a shot. 🤷♀️
I love the idea behind the Halo story [what I've gleaned so far] but just hate the mediums it's made available in. I didn't realize this was a graphic novel until I picked it up from the library and I don't like graphic novels.
10/10
Fall of Reach - Covenant continues the adaptation of the book into comic form, and does a great job of it.The story picks up shortly after the first volume ended - the Covenant has discovered humanity and we're doing everything we can to stay alive. The Spartan get their MJOLNIR armor and are ready to take on the alien invaders. The story continues by covering the first engagement between the Spartans and the Covenant, as well as the first Spartan to go 'MIA.' It then fast forwards to a more sea...
I thought it was descent, nothing great but nothing bad either. Just kinda normal, not much exciting stuff or action, but their was enough, it felt kind of thrown around though like not much of a main story.ART:7STORY:6CHARACTERS:4ACTION:6(out of ten)
This is an amazing book filling in all of the gaps that the game leaves out.
