Only one year apart in age, Brenda and Vanessa ran the city of Philadelphia as thick as thieves. Everything changed once it had been learned that Vanessa was ill. Brenda took on Vanessa's physical pain, but instead she carried it in her heart. She could not give Vanessa her life. All she had to give her was her song.
