Flawless by Sara ShepardThere's really not much I can say about this book, having already seen the TV-Show, nothing was a big surprise, but I still really enjoyed it because I just love Sara Shepard's writing! In this book we had the big 'Foxy' benefit dance, which was kind of like homecoming (I think it was homecoming, anyway) in the TV-Show.I can't wait to see what happens in the next books, and I'm really hoping for a lot more character development, and a larger development between the 4 girls...
The story again begins. All the girls are scared to death wondering who A is and what if A reveals their secrets to everyone?Girls have to deal with their own personal problems along with fearing that their haunted past may be coming back to them. Some secrets are revealed, many are still enclosed. The second book of the series is also very good but still I love the first book more.
"An eye for an eye and the whole world goes blind."-GandhiThe second book to the Pretty Little Liars series, Flawless, we're back and we're following the lives of the four reunited friends - Emily, Aria, Hanna and Spencer. Three years ago, their best friend disappeared without a trace and was never found - until now. Alison’s body was discovered in her old backyard, but the question is, who was the one to put her there? While the police open the murder investigation for the second time and hope
It was OK. The girls are so nasty but somehow, I still want to find out what's going on in Rosewood. On to the next book!
1 star. I don't think I'll be continuing this series. Review to come.
filler moments and a little action.people always complain that pll has a lot of filler episodes, and i agree, but i also don't care because those episodes have a lot of romance and i love some romance. but when it comes to the books...i don't care about anything besides A. the girls are ok (Hannah is currently my favorite), but i just hate their dramas, is just boring.will i continue to listen to these books? Well, that's a secret i don't even know.xoxo, gossip girl.
An eye for an eye and the whole world goes blind.Remember I said I liked Toby? I don't anymore, actually. He was sweet and cute but I now know what he did and... No.When I think of Aria, Emily Spencer and Hanna I see 4 train wrecks. They are all derailing so fast it's making my head spin.Bring on the next one!
Back to the adventures of our four barely differentiated heroines: “intellectual” hipster Aria, sporty closet-lesbian Emily, insecure fat-girl-turned bulimic Hanna and competitive bore Spencer. Still all with the same self-obsessed and image conscious internal voice, still preoccupied with sex and shopping.First of all we find out the details of the mysterious “Jenna Thing”, a shadowy accident that the previous book skirted around for some time. It turns out to be kinda stupid, but at least it’s...
Well, I didn't like this book as much as the first one. I also have to admit I'm liking the TV series a little more and it kills me to say that because I'm sure TV will one day eat my brain (if it hasn't already).I just couldn't ignore some of my complaints about the series this time around. I mean, the mystery part of it is still really really good. I have absolutely no flippin' clue about what will happen next. But I'm not liking the girls as much. Is it me, or are they becoming even more air-...
Warnings are the same as the first book: Homophobia, OCD, Bullying, Sexual Assault, Eating Disorders. Ok... so I did like this book better than the first one. That’s not saying much but it’s definitely an upgrade in my humble opinion. That is why I gave this book a three stars. The same annoyances I have of the first book are largely still in this novel. Some not so bad as the first book and some even worse since this is a sequel after all!Biggest Pet Peeves:-You think in the second book the gir...
Flawless (Pretty Little Liars, #2), Sara ShepardSpencer Hastings, Hanna Marin, Aria Montgomery, and Emily Fields continue to receive text messages from an unknown person, "A", and are more desperate than ever to discover the identity of "A", who is still taunting them with the threat of exposing their many secrets. At first the girls think "A" is Alison, because she is the only person who knew their secrets, but then they start to believe the person behind the threats is Toby, because some messa...
You are probably thinking - what are you doing giving this book 4 stars, when you've been giving 3 stars to way better books left and right. Let me explain: - As I've admitted earlier - this is my guilty pleasure read. - Yes, the writing is bad (although it has improved greatly from the 1st book).- Yes, the dialog is patchy and undeveloped at times. - Yes, the topic is silly and ridiculous. - But, it totally held my interest and I couldn't put it down! I loved all of the twists and turns. I star...
Wow, this book was so good! It was so addicting, I read it in 2 days which was fast for me. I need the next book. Stay tuned for reviews coming soon :)
It's not enlightening, but it's definitely engrossing, entertaining and enjoyable.
I'm really gutted by how disappointing this book was for me; especially considering how amazing I thought the TV series adaptation is. The book tried too hard to emphasize the glamour and high sophistication of Rosewood and everyone who lived in it, that it became so superficial, and the characters unlikeable - they were portrayed as being somewhat vapid and shallow - especially Hanna and Spencer, two of the most sharp-witted girls of the group with very strong personalities on the show. The fac...
What was that ending????I'm so confused.Ok so book two. Ali's body has been found, the funeral held, and A has made the first move. While the four girls still aren't what you would call friends, they are finding themselves thrown back together as they try to figure out just who A is.I will say, all of these girls are kind of horrible and self-centered. They just really aren't likable characters. That being said, they are LOADS better than the horrible parents that plague this series. Racism, fav...
So book two was still pretty good. It has been so long since I watched the show that I am finding myself intrigued all over again. I mean, I know the main players and I remember a lot of what happened but not everything. It is kind of cool going back and reading it because I am actually finding some things I missed while I was watching the show. In this book, we have a lot more drama, a lot more suspicion, sudden friendships and just as sudden death. They ALL have secrets that only Alison knew a...
So I have already read the “Pretty Little Liars” series including the add-on ones. I don’t really like Shepard’s writing, but her storylines are pure gold. I am going to do the reviews of the “Pretty Little Liars” books a little different. I plan to ask questions as I read the series again and see when (or if) the question is answered. I’ll hide them with the spoiler code so you’ll have the choice to spoil it for yourself! I’m doing way too much for this series, but hey, I like to analysis thing...
Hi, Are you a teenage girl? Then rush out and buy this steaming pile of crap. Are you a fan of the TV Series and not a teen girl? You'll most likely hate this novel as well. While the show took the basic premise and made it good, it's clear why this series never really took off until after the show came out.None of the characters have a single redeeming quality to them. Yes, they come off as having multiple layers but in the end they are just as shallow as any real life pretty girl. I also feel
i just skimmed through the book, it's the second book in the series, i haven't read the first one and have no idea why i picked this book in the first place. i just don't care about the characters, i already have enough things to worry about. no actually, i think this is the only book where i couldn't empathize with the characters one bit, i don't care who "A" is, you got yourselves in the trouble now deal with it 🤷🏻♀️partly, i think the fact that i haven't read the first book is why i don't un...
