A follow-up to my first book of poetry and songs, "Clay to the Potter", this compilation, "Pieces of My Journey", is similar in prose style yet written from a different inspiration and state of mind. While the first collection carried strong echoes of emotional pain, difficult trials, and the necessary healing which pertained to a personal season of tragic occurrences, this next grouping speaks simply of the ponderings, observations, inspirations, and wondrous exclamations which can be found along any believer's journey through life. Written within are various sonnets, songs, poems, prayers and meditations depicting bits and pieces of my personal thoughts, teachings, and observations I have experienced as I walk the narrow road of faith with my Savior, Jesus Christ. It is my prayer to bless the reader with not only a few enjoyable verses, but also strengthen other Christians on their own journeys as they read of my personal challenges, failings, victories, and reflections - with the likelihood that many are similar to their own, thus creating a deeper unity of spirit among believers everywhere by which their faith, perseverance, and confidence in God's promises will be increased.
