The Gospel of Luke: Jesus' Personal Touch (Adult Bible Study Guides)

The Gospel of Luke: Jesus' Personal Touch (Adult Bible Study Guides)

Scott Stevens
0/5 ( ratings)
The Gospel of Luke: Jesus' Personal Touch is a thirteen-lesson study of the Gospel of Luke.

In order to touch someone we have to move in close. Sometimes that can require crossing barriers of distance and inconvenience as well as the willingness to move past racial, social, economic, and religious stereotypes. Personal sacrifice and service can also bring healing and hope to those who are in desperate need. The Gospel of Luke reveals Jesus as the Promised Messiah who brings his personal touch to a world in need.

Throughout the Gospel of Luke there are accounts of Jesus becoming personally involved in the lives of others. We see him meeting personal needs – often in miraculous ways, we find him challenging people to make significant personal choices, and we also have the opportunity to listen to him answer some difficult personal questions.

The stories and people encountered in the Gospel of Luke confront us with personal questions about our attitudes and actions as followers of Christ. We will have the chance to consider the cost of discipleship and will be encouraged to face the future with faith rather than fear.

We can rejoice that Jesus came to earth, bringing his personal touch to meet our greatest need. He is indeed good news of great joy for all people!
