We live in a skeptical society. The Apostle John wrote his Gospel to convince people to believe in Jesus and live! In fact, he used the Greek word translated “believe” ninety-eight times in his writing. The purpose of his Gospel is summed up in the following verses:

“Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” .
