11-year-old "Finch" has only ever known life on military bases.

The son of a US airman, he has long been accustomed to starting a new life every six months.

However, when his dad receives a posting to a base in Suffolk, England, he begins to think that things may be a little different this time, as soon after arriving, there is a break-in at the base.

Suspicion and paranoia run rife amongst the adults, but Finch, with the help of some new-found friends, decides to make his own investigations, and before long, the intrepid youngster finds himself on an adventure like nothing he's ever experienced before…
