This is in accord with the early founders of gestalt therapy who seek to further the recollection of childhood as "some of the most beautiful powers of adult life that must be recovered: spontaneity, imagination, directness of awareness and manipulation." and embrace a "unitary approach". By being present to the emergent creation of the field with the recovered faculties of children and artists we work and live creatively and authentically in the present moment.
