The disgustingly dirty treasure-hunter finally reached the edge of Tombstone, arms flailing as he yelled for help. Swinging a gold locket from his grimy hands, Dutch showed approaching townsfolk the small picture inside. “I gotta find this lady. Gotta find her fast.”

“That’s Miss Josephine! She owns the saloon next to The Cosmopolitan Hotel. Where’d you get that, mister?”

“Found it on a dead man, ‘bout three days ride from here. Name on his buckle was Kincade.”

Josephine breathlessly approached the scruffy miner who’d been shouting her name in the street. Dutch held up the locket and gasped, “Ma’am, he’d been shot. Had this in his hand as if he was lookin’ at it when he died.”

She took the locket. “Kincade dead! That’s impossible!”

“Oh, he’s dead all right.” He pulled the bloody medicine bag with the bullet hole from his shirt pocket. “Bullet went right through this bag into his heart.”

Josephine took the bag, looked, staggered and fainted. Her beloved Kincade was dead!
