Eventful Times: A Humorous Fantasy (The Slightly Unfeasible Tales of Landos Book 2)

Eventful Times: A Humorous Fantasy (The Slightly Unfeasible Tales of Landos Book 2)

Chris Whyatt
0/5 ( ratings)
When important people simply vanish from The Bible, there had better be a damn good reason.

The demise of a planet creates a freak event, and it's even a new one on Death. But spotting a promising chance to loom menacingly over future humanity he tags along for the ride, while still attending to the monotony of the day job.
When the unknown - possibly impending doom - threatens the world, the rulers of Anglost turn to the experts for help, and after the scientists decline on scientific grounds, 'The Miserable Tricksters and Decidedly Dodgy Artists' quickly come to the rescue with two solutions... ignorance and brandy - possibly one solution, as ignorance can't be quaffed.
Numerous religious groups blame non-tangible disbelievers for angering and pray for forgiveness and mercy.
In the background, someone of high standing turns to the unlikeliest of saviours... Gord excepted. But, is clumsy, reclusive inventor Albert Sonny ready for such a challenge?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "I suspect Chris Whyatt got his inspiration for this book while listening to The Police. 'There's a little black spot on the sun today.'
First off, I have to warn you to pay attention to the names and unusual words used, the author is quite a punster. For "The poor old octopus was all at sea… he didn't have an inkling." Hey, don't blame me, I am just the messenger. About the only thing the author takes seriously are the friendships in their many and complex forms.
I cannot wait to read book 3 in the series." Timothy - Goodreads October 12 2023

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "Absurd, but hilariously funny." - The Fantasy Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "A rollicking good read, great fun, l enjoyed it!" - Mukaji

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "This author has a knack and fondness for satire and parody, slipping in puns, pop culture references and social commentary along with this swords-and-sorcery adventure, and creating a light, quick and easy read that fans of the comic fantasy sub-genre will enjoy." - Bookshine January 9 2024
