awesome
Still very little about who Deadpool is.
Wham!
Good but not my favorite, b/c this is just a bunch of collections of different stories. Good to complete to whole series, but hard to stay in b/c the narrative keeps resetting.
This isn't a very good introduction to Deadpool. Apparently, 90's superhero comics really aren't my thing. The situations seemed contrived, with any powers seeming nothing more than deus ex machina to get them out of that situation. This certainly wasn't helped by commonly only seeing the middle or end of the story arc since this was a selection of issues over a time period rather than an arc.
I think you have to be a very hardcore Deadpool fan to like all of these previously uncollected stories. I found them to be of fairly low but consistent quality.
This is not really ABOUT Deadpool, so much as a fascinating time capsule of bad and confusing 90's comics that simply weren't important (no Heroes Reborn, no Clone Saga, no 2099, none of that). So 90's. In one of the last pages, Deadpool actually turns into Combos Man. Well, not actually . . . .
