Star Wars Rey Meets BB-8 is a nice read for beginning readers who are interested in Science Fiction and Star Wars. The story begins telling about Rey, who is a women who lives all alone on the planet of Jakku, it is really hot and sandy there. It is also very desolate and Rey gets lonely, she does not have any family or friends. She searches around the planet for things and parts to trade an alien for food. Cute! The art is incredible...
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This was surprisingly well done for a basic beginner reader story. It was straight from "The Force Awakens" and told the part where Rey saves BB-8 and decides not to sell him but keep him for companionship. And who doesn't love Rey and BB-8??
This is a great way to introduce the idea of Star Wars to a younger child. I own the original trilogy Little Golden Books but they are just a little too wordy and complicated for my toddler. It's simple while still using words that may be unfamiliar to younger kids.
This book was written for 1st graders I would give it to them or a younger. Follow the same story line as the movie the force awakens so it might help a reluctant reader get into reading because, so many kids love Star Wars.
This is a great adaptation of a fun scene from the movie. Written at the perfect level for young fans to enjoy. For more on my love of The Force Awakens tune in to this early episode of the All the Books Show: https://soundcloud.com/allthebooks/ep...
This is an easy read with some challenging vocabulary. My son loves Star Wars, especially BB-8 and he was excited to see what was going to happen when Rey found this little droid that was in trouble with some mean aliens. She ended up saving him and when you thought she was going to trade BB-8 in for food, she ended up liking the little guy and keeping him around instead.
Good intro to some of the new characters.
