A Singular Event

A Singular Event

Geoff Hunter
0/5 ( ratings)
This is an action thriller with a difference, revolving around the work of the scientists at the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Institute in California. They are searching for signs of life on other planets outside the Solar System across the galaxy and beyond, believing intelligent life on our planet cannot be alone. They work with other NASA projects, searching the sky with ever more powerful and expensive telescopes backed by huge investments of time and money. But what if they are wrong and there is no intelligent life to be found? After all, there is a massive difference between just life and intelligent self-aware life such as Homo Sapiens. An eminent professor is about to publish a research thesis on the origin of intelligent life on Earth that is seen by the US Government, backing NASA and SETI as potentially threatening to their investments. They send an FBI agent, Nicole to suppress it. Large institutions funding the US space programme also fear losing their investment so they authorise a clandestine security group to destroy the research evidence at all costs. Colleagues of the professor are caught in a desperate fight to survive after he is shot and the research papers lost. They turn to Nicole to protect them from the mercenaries.
