According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention 2014 report, cancer globally kills eight million lovely humans every year, equal to the entire populations of sixty five countries of the world. Eight million people equal almost twenty two thousand people a day. Over nine hundred people every hour of every day. Now, right now at this very moment, someone's mother, father, baby, child, teenager, husband, wife, partner, lover, brother, sister, cousin, son, daughter, grandmother, grandfather, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, or friend died because of cancer. If that is someone you love, you too should be fucking mad at cancer. You should know that in 2015 over fourteen million people worldwide live with cancer! If you are offended by the title of this I cannot apologize. I am highly, thoroughly, completely offended that cancer even exists. If you are struggling with what you are reading, I did not hear the words "fuck this cancer" inside my mind one day and then immediately proclaim it aloud for all to hear. It took time to process the emotions...to process a life that embodies the concept of living and dying simultaneously. How much time? The time I had to process my possible death from cancer? The time from my own cancer diagnosis and beginning thirteen days. In those thirteen days, two hundred eight five thousand people died.If you too have heard a diagnosis of cancer for yourself or someone you love and you want to integrate a life of faith into the journey, then I invite you to come alongside me as I unflinchingly explore both faith and A faith that gives courage to boldly proclaim "Heal Me and F**K This Cancer."
