Our Popes: A Plague on the Catholic Church

Our Popes: A Plague on the Catholic Church

Frank Chiarelli
0/5 ( ratings)
This book is not a work of theology, nowhere close to that. It is the work of a very angry practising Catholic who has discovered that he has been duped and bamboozled for an entire lifetime by a collection of popes, all charlatans, and by a collection of cowed and cowardly bishops, also all charlatans. It is an ugly and disturbing discovery that nearly all Catholics are ignorant of, and certainly it is a history that they should be aware of.The Boston Globe’s exposé in 2002 of the massive sexual abuse of children by Boston’s Catholic priests was a template for another exposé in Los Angeles and for yet another in Philadelphia and another in Chicago and another in Dublin. Literally, for another exposé everywhere! All of this triggered a searching look into the enduring rot that is our church, a rot that has generated the nightmare that is reflected in this book. The idolatrous acceptance by naïve and pliant followers of these self-anointed deities must come to an end. They have never deserved the reverence nor the deference fawningly bestowed upon them but they certainly have wallowed in it.Hopefully, serious change is on the way. This is a church that is in desperate need of change. This writer has absolutely no intention of abandoning his church. He is working to change it.
