Luke is a man of seventeen years: a hard-headed youth who spends his days working on his father’s farm on their island in the sky. One day, a girl of his age - named Emily - arrives at his island, then is quickly taken away by the Capital’s guards. Luke Ford gets into an explicit amount of trouble trying to find where they have taken her and what for. When he finally does, she explains to him that the people running this city - an collection of six men and six women called The Order - are using the clouds to hide what’s below. The deeper that he begins to delve into the mess he’s gotten himself into, the more he begins to wonder: What is beneath the clouds? Who’s in control of all this? And what secret is Emily keeping from me?
