As Good as the other storiesStill good, entertaining and had to keep reading! Can't waste anymore time, if got another to read! So off to the third book in this set!
It was good bit little bit of romance was there.
Great fun paranormal romp through EuropeI do enjoy BR Kingsolver’s books. This one was a fun chase through Europe with our hero Kellana, an elf who was stranded on Earth during the Second World War. She is the daughter of an apothecary and the head of a Queen’s Guard. She has a wide range of skills including potion making and sword fighting. The skill she is hired for, in this book, is her ability to sense and identity magic. Elves in Iceland want her track down a dragon’s egg that has been repo...
I love this series!I love this series that meshes the human world with Elves, demons and plenty of other paranormal creatures. Kellana is a very strong and independent woman that is self made and very confident. She gets roped into various situations and this one involves no less than dragons and their eggs. We also meet a nephilim, a Valkyrie and some old time mages. It was a great fantasy and I look forward to more.
I absolutely loved this story. Dragons, Elves, Mages, Valkyrie's and a Nephilim. How could you ever go wrong with a combination like that. This story was laugh out loud funny. I don't have anything negative to say about it. I can't wait to see what the next one is like. If you are thinking about this one, go for it you won't be disappointed. I gave this 5 stars.
Both books are great!10 out of 10 very very enjoyable. Looking forward to the next one. Great story line. Do try it out!
Dragon's EggLoved it! Lots of action, twists and turns. Some sexual tension, but nothing graphic or erotic. Highly recommend to all readers of fantasy lore!
I quite enjoyed this book, but at times I wasn't sure why. Too many things just happen and I'm left thinking where did that come from. Although I like Kellana she didn't develop in this book, in fact I found her less interesting than in Gods and Demons and I could really have done without her lusting after the half-angel.The author isn't afraid to go over the top with her storyline and by the end of the book the body count was enormous. At times it even felt like the action was there to cover a
The first one was fun This one is better. I think I'm going to go track down some more of her books and check those out too.
Excellent readThis was really good follow up to the first book. The dry humour and vivid world make for a fun read. I can't wait to see what a third instalment will bring.
I jumped into this second book, eager to see more of Kellana and the very interesting world she survives in. I was not disappointed. Fast paced and entertaining. Loved her vacation with a twist. Nothing like making it a working holiday to spice up ones life. I listened to my copy from Audible and enjoyed the narration.Rachel Dulude does a great job with the pacing and impact. Her accent flowed very well for me and was the strawberry on my cheesecake. I can't wait to hear more from this narrator....
Politeness counts for a lot. While not a battle mage,or even a mage, she more than holds her own. Her interactions and mixing very neatly reveals her world view and Elven society.
A fun run with lots of action and adventure. There are plenty of different races and magical creatures running around in this world (and others).Kellana is a strong and well-grounded character. She doesn't have any problem leaving certain problems to those better suited to it and she doesn't think that makes her a coward. Kellana also has brains which she uses to try to come up with a logical and reasonably successful plan--it doesn't work all the time but she tries. Kellana makes the most of he...
EpicI don't think Kellanna got what she bargained for when she decided to take a vacation! But an epic adventure brought with dragons and danger are a memory she won't soon be forgetting. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it. Although it's the second book in the series, I feel like it could be read as a stand alone. Reading book one would give you background info and help but isn't completely necessary.
Worthy Slow in some areas but worth hanging in stoty good would be worth it to have more chapters , some punctuation missing but that seems standard for most e books
