3.5 The drawing and the choice of colors are truly pretty 😻and Clint is quite handsome ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
A truly beautiful book with lots of interesting angles. I'm enjoying the discovery aspect of the book and can't wait to see it continue.
Blackbird certainly wins the award for prettiest cover this week. It’s absolutely beautiful! I think I said that last time, when the first issue came out. But it’s still true this time. I love the colors, as well as the stylized dragon/cat. While I’m totally wrapped up in the plot, I’m still not sure how I feel about Nina. I’m curious about what is happening to her…I just don’t feel connected to her, if that makes any sense. While we’ve seen her hurting and distressed, I still feel like we hav
Love, love, love. 🖤
Beautiful art, and a storyline that gets better each issue.
again, no concrete idea of what's going on but everybody's hot and that's all that matters to meactual rating: 3.25/5
It's all too pretty to deal with: the characters, the animals, the clothing. Not sure about the storyline yet tho. I like the text bubbles used for Nina's thoughts as well as the dialogue. Can't wait to understand more of the paragons, Sharpie and what happened to Marisa.
ahhh!!! this was so good! The plot is gripping, the mythology is fascinating and I'm itching to learn more about this world and this characters. Nina is a great protagonist! For just a single issue, so much has happened! The art is absolutely gorgeous!I highly recommend this ongoing comic for beautiful art and setting, for mysterious and captivating plot! Also it seems like all of the main characters are people of color.
Finally, after almost a year I have the chance to follow through with this story.I'm in love with the art style and the deep attracting colors always making everything rather edgy.I had a great time with this volume, it was full of intrigue and new mysteries to unravel.
Mini review:Spoilers ahead! This was read for The Dream Thieves: Badass Broads.Trigger warning: Drug addiction, mention of earth quake, mention of death, neglectant parent, and mention of kidnapping. Chapter 2 picks up a few days after chapter 1. Nina is trying to figure out how to rescue Marisa and wrap her around magic. She first seeks out her father who call's her crazy. He has no care regarding Marisa's disappearance and brushes it off. I'm starting to see where Nina get's her attitude from.
This has a real Wicked+Divine feel to it, and I love what Jen Bartel is doing with the art.
It's only the second issue, but I'm enjoying it so far.Jen's art is amazing, I love it! A great inspiration (I use some of her art as references and to get some ideas for my own drawings)
It was boring and very repetitive. Nina is still finding her sister. The good thing which happened is that we got to get the glimpse of other world. Ending was interesting. Next issue should be better than this.
These just keep getting better.
3.5 stars. THE PLOT THICKENS.
This book is definitely much more interesting than the first one. This issue made me excited to read the next one. Can't wait for it to come out.
Holy shit 😲
3,5/5I think this is too short and I’m having trouble connecting with the story for some reason. I read the first one days ago And I forgot some details.Anyways the art is amazing and Nina and Clint👀👀👀 I hope they end up together but it’s too soon. Also I love how she is trying to look for Marisa and she found the paragons and got some gems. Also not sure about sharpie and I think Nina might died in the past? Or is it a hallucination. Anyways some hunters are hunting her down and Clint has been w...
Blackbird #2 is a really fun ride! The art is absolutely stunning, and i'm very much living for the wlw flirting. Hopefully with Clint being a bigger part of the story it'll pick up more with the character development, but there were lots of little moments that served that purpose this issue too!
