I NEED AN ENTIRE VOLUME OF DAD!STEPHEN RAISING ILLYANA THIS WAS SO GOOD I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS REAL!!! it felt so short i genuinely think leah williams deserves a proper x-title of her own @ c.b. cebulski pull the fuck through man
Leah Williams writing Magik combines two of my favorite things in comics. I love this premise and the execution didn't disappoint. Fantastic artwork as well.
A much more compelling and interesting story than it’s What If X-Men counterpart.
the more suitable title would be what if?doctor strange (and wong!) becomes a dad to illyana rasputin and tbh i'm so here for it.
I love everything about this issue, and it works better in 23 pages than some other Marvel stuff that is 200 pages long. Magik is such an interesting character, but she's been wasted a lot in storylines. This series gets her, and this storyline makes so much sense it should have been canon a long time ago. I also really enjoyed Doctor Strange and Wong here, and they seem close to their characterisation in the recent Doctor Strange series. Current comics!Strange is a lot more fun than his MCU ver...
(3 of 5 for Magik became not SS in this one-shot)
this book was so incredible y’all better go to your local comic stores and buy it RIGHT NOW
I don't normally pick up "What If?" Lines ever, but this one was a sure grab for me being that it contains two of my favorite Marvel characters! The overall story was well-executed and I wish there was more! Definitely worth the pickup if you love the direction Dr. Strange has taken in the past year.
incredible artwork, holy shit dude
Would definitely read more comics about Magik.
Not always a fan of AU comics but even though this was only a single issue, I have so many feelings about Illyana Rasputin now and also this made me care about Doctor Strange, which is an impressive feat.
this was surprisingly cute😭
oh i loved this angle *very much*
i honestly cried.... illyana rasputin i would die for you
I think this is my favorite of the What If series that I have read.
This was fantastic. Literally my only complaint is that this isn't an ongoing series. Everything really came together in this issue and I adored it.
I love the dynamic of fatherly love and rebel (adopted) daughter in this story This is a beautifully drawn comic with a great message of love and acceptance
Believe in Magik Magik is a very convoluted infusing chracter at times with a depth that truly knows no end to a certain degree. This time instead of Magik joining the new mutants and going the hero route she instead goes down a road that will heal her and help to give her pride in becoming the new sorcerer supreme something that with her knowledge should be a breeze. Once more we are seeing that when. It comes to the X-Women they are always way more than meets the eye.
This is... what if Sorcerer Supreme is tired and planning to be retired...
