Poetry Through The Psalms Book 2

I have just fallen in love with the Psalms this year. These chapters are page after page of the emotional relationship between their original writer and God. You can see the intimacy, respect, fear and comfort all played out in the writings.
Over the past year I started an exercise where I took a Psalm a day and wrote out a prayer in my words following the heart of that Psalm, it was an amazing way to put some struggles into words and ever better way to express worship.
In the early spring of this year I went to a conference and a man was mentioned who wrote a Poem for every Psalm. This captured my attention and I devoured the psalms and wrote them back out in my own words. This was such a fun experience, it is an experience that I’m still in the process of.
As I am sure that you have noticed the book of Psalms is HUGE, upon further research I learned the reason why it is this way. It is because it is not just one books, it is five. In my first book Poetry Through the Psalms I take you through the first 41 chapters of the book. This is what is considered to be book two. This book will walk through chapters 42 through 72.
I would like for you to join me in this journey, it would be ideal to get a paper copy of this book, or a notebook if you are reading it on your tablet or phone. Grab a pen and write along with me. You can put it in lyrical form or the form of a letter. Either way you do it, I believe you will find that it is a fresh new way to read this book of the Bible.
