THE BEACHING OF WHALES

THE BEACHING OF WHALES

Jan David Aronson
0/5 ( ratings)
The Inuit believe the fable of Sedna. After writing this novel, I became a believer, too.
Her vengeful father severed each of her fingers as she tried hoisting herself back into their boat during a violent Arctic storm. And, as the harsh ocean water enveloped her, she accepted her fate and begged her father ‘why’. But he simply turned away, tossing her bloody fingers into the sea behind her. What he did was horrific, but no match for the Inuit Gods watching it all from above.
Miraculously, her fingers immediately began to regenerate. She no longer needed to breathe fresh air to swim through the sea. Though emotionally damaged as she was, the Inuit Gods decreed that only this beautiful young woman could save the oceans. Forever more, Sedna would be THE ANOINTED ONE.
This is her ten year quest to preserve all that is wonderful within the sea. Two cold blooded murders, a wrongful incarceration, a human induced stranding of both Orcas and Cuvier’s beaked whales have Sedna crisscrossing the globe at the will of the Gods. For only Sedna can rectify the wrongs of man. Happily, she manages to reunite with her best friend, the 40 ton Humpback she named Trey, and witness a sold-out play detailing her victories and aptly named THE BEACHING OF WHALES. But most important, she finally gets the daughter back the Gods forced her to relinquish nearly ten years ago to the day.
