The sun is falling. Mankind is corralled and imprisoned, locked away to await the end of the world. Those who remain are driven insane. Their minds lack the longevity of lives prolonged by the life force of La Gaudière. Thus, self-medication is endemic.
Long ago, the god-king, Adomania, held the sun in place. Now, in order to manipulate humanity into bearing their burden, the self-proclaimed gods and their Commonwealth have turned his legend into prophecy: one chosen pygmy will inherit a supposed kingdom of the sun.

That heir is you.

The Lord of Light, however, thrives in darkness. Shibboleth is pushing his agenda, cultivating an age of humanity, when mortals will rule their own domain. Stygian forces penetrate every prison to murder potential candidates for the gods’ cruel championship.
Meanwhile, there is unrest in the mountains. The mad king of LaCuna Montem strives to recreate the dying sun, to which his lamented wife has given herself. His kingdom’s proletariat is on the cusp of revolution, while his daughters struggle to mature amid an authoritarian state…
