L'appel Du Vide: Book I

Treyvon Meursault
0/5 ( ratings)
In the beginning, the world was blanched in rebirth, shrouded in fog and ruled by beasts of yore: primordial basilisks. Their dominion was of amorphous instinct, lizard-brained emotion, until the sun finally rose and with it, a propagation of beings, who inherited the land by means of metacognitive evolution. Unwilling to coexist with their predecessors, these savages slaughtered the basilisks, proclaiming themselves gods of a new age. All was well before another life form emerged: humanity. The weakest, most furtive pygmies were bred for slavery, but as their populations increased, the gods’ control diminished.
