I picked up my paperback copy of this anthology at LTUE this year, and immediately set about collecting all of the signatures from the authors that I could find. For me, this collection was a welcome surprise, I had not heard of the event for which the book fundraises, nor most of the authors in it. But most anthologies are widely varying in story quality, while I found every story here enjoyable and some outstanding.. Trace the Stars is one of the most solid anthologies I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. I enjoyed the stories and the order of presentation in Trace the Stars.Not only do they differ in styles, they differ in length. They run from roughly 4 to 40 pages long. You can find a story to read when you only have a few minutes.Trace the Stars does cover topics of war, but there is nothing too graphic and all of the stories are suitable for young adult readers. I do not usually pick up sci fi, but this was a treat. All of the short stories were well-written.
