Terror of Trevor (Wellborns Book 1)

0/5 ( ratings)
A classic tale of a king and his family as they adjust to living in the present day and strive to build the family business, “King of Pop.”“Hear ye, hear ye, come gather round and I will tell you a tale. Once upon a time in a kingdom far, far away there lived a royal family who traveled in time to the present day so they could live in peace, or so they thought.” Meet the Wellborns, a historic family living in the modern day. King Oliver Wellborn is a man of his time, but he needs to adjust to raising his three kids in a time in which he is learning on the fly. King Oliver, along with his family and the entire kingdom, came to the present day to flee from Lord Minikin, who is obsessed with attacking the Kingdom of Wink so he can become king. No matter how many times King Oliver Wellborn defeats Lord Minikin, he always seems to come back. King Oliver Wellborn decides he wants to protect his entire kingdom from the attacks of Lord Minikin. He longs for a new challenge and wants to be a great king who is remembered forever, but he doesn’t think war can make him a great king. King Oliver talks to his wife, who suggests that he talk to Mesmer, the Wellborn’s wizard, scientist, doctor, and inventor, to identify the kingdom’s options. Queen Cleo informs King Oliver that, whatever decision he makes, he must think of their new child, who will be born soon. King Oliver calls a meeting with his trusted advisors and Queen Cleo. He explains that he is tired of fighting wars and wants more for his family and the Kingdom of Wink, and he asks if anyone knows of a place where the family and kingdom can go without fighting. After several options that don’t interest King Oliver, Mesmer advises King Oliver that the entire Kingdom of Wink could leave and go to three different time periods. Once Mesmer shows King Oliver the three time periods, King Oliver isn’t impressed. As Mesmer ends his presentation, he shows the present day time period. King Oliver is confused because Mesmer said he only had three time periods; however, he is presenting a fourth. Nonetheless, King Oliver permits Mesmer to continue and is intrigued by the present day. He asks to hear more about the present day. Mesmer informs King Oliver of all the things the present day has to offer but remembers there is a condition to living in the present day; however, at the time he couldn’t remember that condition. Queen Cleo suggests to King Oliver that they wait until Mesmer can remember, to find out more about the conditions for staying in the present day, but King Oliver is ready to take the family to the new time period and decides they should leave at once. King Oliver makes a proclamation to the entire Kingdom of Wink that his wife and two kids and the entire Kingdom of Wink will go to the present day. Mesmer is asked to cast a spell over the entire Kingdom of Wink that will send the kingdom and all the people to the present day. The family has been in the present day for about five years and they have managed to start a company called “King of Pop.” The company is run by King Oliver and his family, and the workers are the citizens of Wink along with the king’s trusted friends Funly, Mesmer, and Knight Booster. The King of Pop company produces drinks and beverages along with ice cream products. Since they have come to the present day, they have managed to escape Lord Minikin, or so they think, and they have made an enemy of Franklin P. Time, a.k.a. Father Time. The kingdom has enjoyed five years of peace and while enjoying this new age, King Oliver and the Kingdom of Wink have adjusted to the present day, although along the way there have been some bumps in the road. King Oliver tries to keep up with the old traditions, but time and his family—Queen Cleo, Princess Charlotte, Prince Arty, Princess Nikki, and their pet dragon, Snack—just won’t cooperate.
