خیلی کوتاهه و قسمتهایی که از انیمیشنش احتمالا برای همه جذابترین لحظه هاست،حذف شدهبه قول معروف انیمیشن رو "butcher"کرده
The art was good. Pacing was very quick. If you hadn't already seen the film, it would be quiet confusing.
For someone who haven’t seen the movie as yet ( I just didn’t but not sure why) I throughly enjoyed reading this story, and the artwork is amazing plus I loved the characters in the story and it was like the characters spoke out the story to me when I was reading it if you get what I mean . Overall this was a highly enjoyable read for me and I would definitely recommend this to anyone to read , young and old 👍👍

The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my favourite movies, so I was surprised that I hadn't realised that this book existed. It's a fifty page, super-compacted retelling of the movie, so it definitely helps if you've seen it before reading, but it hits all the story beats that you need to understand what's going on, even if the emotional punch falls away at certain points. can't keep lock, shock, and barrel straight? neither can this comic!most of the dialogue was taken right from the movie, except the songs. not sure if it has to do with the copyright, but instead the songs are like weirdly paraphrased? oof
I was supposed to read this last year but never got around to it. The artwork was lovely and the main reason why I wanted to check it out in the first place, but the writing was not so great. I don’t remember the movie that much but I know they cut almost all of the rhyming and musical parts out, which is a shame because it would have filled the comic up nicely. Still I enjoyed its charm and for a quick late night read it did the job.
It really bears no comparison to the movie, which was SO much better visually.

It weirdly had a few errors that bothered me. Namely they kept getting Shock, Lock, and Barrel wrong? They at one point literally wrote Stock instead of Shock.
No. This was not well done at all. They used a special font to set apart the part of the story where there would have been a song, and instead of poetry or song lyrics, they have some kind of random mashup of words that doesn't flow, barely makes sense, and doesn't at all capture the charm of the movie. The story itself is always stripped down, which would have been fine if it was done well, which it was not. It only makes sense because I've seen the movie a dozen times. My expectations were too...

This does a solid job of telling the story. The main thing I really enjoyed was the artwork looked exactly as it should, with just a tiny bit of polish. I really liked that.
