This part is so small yet so amazing. I want to thank Katherine center for writing it and narrating it in her own voice. This is a bridge between How to Walk Away and Things You Save in a Fire. ❤️😊
Be Still My Heart! I had no idea what I was missing till I read this! In “The Girl in the Plane” a short story by Katherine Center, we get a glimpse of our favorite characters from “How to Walk Away” and “Things You Save in a Fire.” Here, Katherine Center bridges the gap between both novels when a female FireFighter arrives at the scene of a plane crash where a woman is trapped inside. If you’ve read both of the aforementioned novels, you know these women to be Cassie and Margaret. In just a fe...
I loved this little novella that is connecting the book How to walk away and Things you save in a fire.
Loved loved loved this little feature!!
What an amazing tie in to both these books, and the experience of listening to Katherine read this and then reading it after was fabulous. I truly can't preach enough her writing style. I loved how the two books are related I was not expecting that. If you loved both please pick this up !
This is the beginning of How To Walk Away from the female firefighter's perspective after the plane crash. It was fun to hear how she played a role in the relationship forming between Ian and Margaret!
I loved this free little novella so much! It perfectly bridges How to Walk Away and Things You Save In a Fire together and I loved getting Cassie’s POV for those beginning moments of How to Walk Away. Wonderfully narrated by Katherine Center!Overall 5 starsPerformance 5 starsStory 5 stars
I just finished "How to Walk Away" last night and was on to the next book so I had to read the book that bridges them together. I cried when I found out the the firefighter who saved Maggie from the plane crash knew Ian. You have to read this. The was Katherine Center connected the two characters is so heartfelt like omg it tells you something amazing about the start of Ian and Maggie.
Aah! I loved this little novella! Witnessing the aftermath of the plane crash from a different POV was so interesting; I really liked the extended (and heartbreaking) conversation between Cassie and Margaret, as well as getting to see hints of Chip's real character that Margaret was oblivious to at the time, and finding out that Cassie actually played matchmaker without even knowing. (view spoiler)[ And I loved how the nickname thing was tied in, since it was never explained in HTWA why Ian insi...
4 Stars- Super cute short story! Loved seeing these characters again. I wish it was longer. :)
3.5 What a Clever idea to have Cassie be the firefighter rescue Margaret from the small plane crash that left her in need of PT, in this short, short story! And, to have her be the one, to make certain that Ian would be Physical Therapist to help Margaret through the next chapter of her life..(or is that Margaret helping Ian?) Just a 32 minute Audible to bridge two of Katherine Center’s novels together-“Things You Save in the Fire” and “How to Walk Away”. The author finds ways to have her charac...
I love when authors link books together with common characters, without making a series out of it. I also love when authors little short stories to go along with their full length novels. This is the perfect example. The Girl in the Plane introduces us to Cassie from Things You Save in a Fire (which was one of my top reads last year) and Margaret from How to Walk Away (which I desperately want to read now!). Both women are immediately likable and characters that you want to get to know better. B...
This was a quick read (< 1 hour) that I've been meaning to get to since it came out. So interesting to hear about Margaret's situation in the plane from Cassie's perspective. I especially loved the audiobook narrated by the author!!
Omg...I gave Chip a pass for being a jerk but he stepped up to douche bag level. Over all I loved how this was written and connected favorite characters
OK...if you read Things You Save in a Fire and How to Walk Away, you absolutely MUST read this novella. It will take less time than your commute. However, you must read it AFTER How to Walk Away because it has spoilers. I think I got it for free. No charges showed up on my card.
An extended detailed encouter between Cassie and Margaret before, during and after they met in How To Walk Away. In the novel we got Margaret's side while she is in shock and The Girl In A Plane from the firefighter who is trying to save her life.
3 starsThis is a short audio story that bridges Katherine Center's books How to Walk Away and Things You Save in a Fire. From Maggie's airplane wreck in How to Walk Away to Cassie's career as a firefighter in Things You Save in a Fire. And oh yes - the Scottish Ian that they both know. Oo-la-la! Length of audio 30:57 Link ~https://play.google.com/books/listen?...
I loved this short story! I always love cameo's in authors book so this was fun that she brought two main characters from two of her books together!! And it was perfect since Cassie is a firefighter and Margaret needed saving! I loved their encounter. And what Cassie's part in Margaret's love story was just amazing and a nice touch!! Highly recommend reading this if you have read those two books! Or even if you read How to Walk Away and want to read Things You Save in A Fire. Great free read :)
My first audiobook! This is read by the author and is a great bridge between How To Walk Away and Things You Save In A Fire.
