Where Hell is Also Home

Where Hell is Also Home

Tyler White
3/5 ( ratings)
Step into a world much like our own, filled with terror. Three stories, each one more terrifying than the last.
"The Disconnect" - Adam Wentworth's title in life could be solidified as "The King of Rats". He lies, steals, and cheats his way through everything to feed his drug addiction. After the passing of his wife Becky, his parents and unborn child, Adam answers to no one. That is, until he enters The Disconnect. The place between Hell and Home, Adam enters The Disconnect and is forced to come face to face with the souls of those he has inflicted harm upon in his life. Will Adam be able to redeem himself for his past mistakes, or will his soul be trapped in The Disconnect for eternity?

"Nine Lives" - After the death of her father and cat, young Kaelyn is determined to discover where they went. Her mother attempts to explain the concept of passing on to the afterlife but has difficulty doing so due to her lack of coping with the losses she's also endured. Kaelyn starts to believe that like her deceased Scooter she has nine lives, and that she can give one of them to Scooter and her father to bring them back from heaven. Will Kaelyn's mother be able to stop this feeble attempt at rescuing the deceased?

"Drowning in Memories" - A man's wife finds no use in taking the memories she once cherished with her when she leaves. Aside from a sleeping bag on the bedroom floor, all that remains in the house are photographs. Hundreds of memories, taunting the man and reminding him of a simpler time in his life. He reflects on the stories each photo tells, each one sinking him deeper into madness. Will this man learn to understand love as loss or end his own life?
Up and coming author Tyler White has loved horror ever since he was a child, and explores the parts of humanity that many others refuse to acknowledge. In his debut collection of short stories "Where Hell is Also Home", the personal horrors he has endured in his life come to life.
