Not as interesting as the prior books in the series.
3 stars. I’d say these are guilty pleasures books, but I’m not liking the idea about being “guilty” about anything I read. I need to come up with a different word for it. Also, not gonna lie and say I don’t enjoy all the alien romance. They’re great pallet cleansers and perfect when you need something a bit lighter. Something you don’t have to concentrate on. And these are perfect for just that. Will I continue the series? Yep! Recommended to anyone who likes alien romances.

This series is super formulaic... but since I'm reading it for comfort and the formula doesn't contain huge issues, I'm good with that.- Includes an older woman outside of common childbearing years.- The woman is kidnapped from earth but rescued by an alien warrior.- There's a cute kid(s) involved and the warrior is super cute in how he cares for that kid.- The villain always comes back in the end and gets killed while he's being dastardly.- The main characters jump into bed together pretty quic...
Big fan of this series and this book did not disappoint. Even though they say it can be a standalone read I recommend reading the previous books as they make references to the personality of some of the characters you meet. You would be missing out of the full feel of the interactions if you didn’t understand the struggle all these folks went through as you only read that they are happy on this planet after being abducted.
What an awesome story!A special love for two incredible people. Inzen who lost a mate and a child to Red Death and Jade whose baby girl was kidnapped a year ago. It was nice to see Abby and the family back.
We finally come to Jade's story--the woman whose infant daughter was abducted without her. She runs into the same aliens a year later and finally gets a lead on her daughter's whereabouts. Inzen has been caring for little Lily this whole time and can't fathom losing her to a stranger, having already lost a mate and daughter years before.I love Honey's writing and world-building, which is why I keep reading her books even though I don't like a lot of the circumstances or back stories of the main
4.5 stars. Not as long as I would have liked, buy by no means is this story a novella. Still within the same universe with excellent continuity with the bulk of the story taking place on Trevelor. This time, we meet Jade who has been looking for her daughter who disappeared when her husband and her daughter were out for walkies. With her husband murdered and her daughter gone, she had devoted the following year trying to find out what happened. That's when she runs into the Vedeckians (our favorit...
