Kathi Daley certainly knows how to tell a fabulous story! This book catches you from the very beginning and refuses to let you go. A lot of mystery, wonderful friends, and animals. Lots of animals! Some of the story has an ending, but other parts are continued. Amazingly enough, I don’t mind. It is worth the wait!I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

This is a great beginning to a new series from Kathi Daley. Ainsley is someone you met briefly if you have read the Inn at Holiday Bay series. She has come to Gooseberry Bay to try to find answers to her past based on a photo she found after her father’s death. I listened to this cozy mystery (although it was only 4 hours so I think it may have been more of a novella) on audible. Good cozy mystery but there were a LOT of characters to keep track of! Also, there was really only one suspect. I am continuing to read the series, though, as I am intrigued about the storyline of Ainsley's family.
