Great start. Never read America Chavez books before. I hate how short Marvel single issues are. There are so many ads. But I want to know more about her and her space moms and the adoptive family. I thought the brother would be the big bad but it doesn't seem like it. Kate Bishop! Spidey!

A very good start! Much better than America's last series! I never finished West Coast Avengers as Kelly Thompson's writing really isn't my favorite style. That being said, I'm assuming that's where America'a girlfriend Ramone was introduced. There's a not a lot of insight into her character in this book, but she seems nice. Obviously, she cares about America. I'm glad we're FINALLY getting more background on America's childhood and how she found her way to earth pre Young Avengers. Definitely c...
She’s back! Okay, she was never technically gone, just out of the limelight for a while. But now America is about to get another run of her series. And it all starts with America Chavez: Made in the USA #1.This series is about to do a deep dive into America: who she is, how her powers work, and even her history. This makes it a solid starting point for new fans, and a plot arc full of interesting facts for those who have been reading her story all along. At least, that’s sincerely what I’m hopin...

I like this take on her much better than the last I read.
I enjoyed the Gabby Rivera run of America so when I saw that there was a new comic about Ms Chvez I jumped at the chance to read it. It's a good start to her origin story and I can't wait to read the next instalment!

How did I not know about America Chavez!? Also, the pub date on this is wrong. I'm pretty sure this was delayed until March 3rd, 2021 because of COVID. America Chavez focuses on a LatinX, queer girl by the name of America who is a part of the west coast Avengers. This is a great jumping point for individuals who are interested in her origin story, but are not necessarily familiar with where she appeared in other Marvel comics. This first issue doesn't provide all of the details of this; however,...
I'm always down to read an America Chavez book! Seems like we never get enough of her. And this seems like we have a mystery on our hands!
My Thoughts On: America Chavez: Made in the USA #11. Wow, America dunking on tea drinkers. I'd be offended, but I love her so it's fine!2. I live for America Chavez and Kate Bishop fighting weird things together and bantering back and forth like the ultimate besties (maybe one day lovers? Look, I can DREAM!) they are. 3. Wow, blue-haired high school girl, maybe don't ask America Chavez deeply personal questions about her adopted family? (view spoiler)[ I feel like this girl could somehow be conn...

Going to continue this, hoping it's better than the first volume of the previous America Chavez series.
Oh America, how I've missed you
I've worked with Carlos Gomez a couple of times in the past, inking some art he did for Charlie McElvy's WatchGuard, and I have to say that I really love his artwork. It's always good to see him working for the Big Two.We catch up with Miss America Chavez as she's fighting some giant mutant moles with her old West Coast Avengers chums (oh how I miss that comic) when she's suddenly reminded of her past by a fan. This ultimately leads to us learning more of her past with her adoptive family and th...
This was such a great issue! I love America Chavez from West Coast Avengers and it’s so exciting to get to read more of her, especially with this background on her origins and family. The plot points that were set up (like the problems with her powers, and her ongoing relationship with Ramone Watts) were well introduced and I already feel invested in the story. Big points to the writing and dialogue, too- it’s witty and to the point without feeling try-hard, and I feel like the tone fits well he...

Found it very heart-warming and loved the Latino culture vibe in it. Not forced just perfect.
