Another phenomenal sequence to what was already one of the best in the genre. Zac's story moves forward nicely as the world expands and we are treated to a every increasing scope of characters as we wait for a doomsday antagonist to arrive. Will Zac be able to progress and halt another apocalypse? Can't praise this series enough. Brilliant writing, a new and refreshing world and magic system plus a cast everyone would like to follow and cheer for!
Story is fun, but we are starting to get some repeat taking place. That's pretty normal in wuxia style stories, but they generally start happening around book 5 or so.Let's see how he'll pull himself through.
Still interested; a bit of a slogI'm still going to read book four when it comes out next month, I'm still interested in the story, so why did I give it three stars?I don't generally skip parts of books that I'm reading. However, there was a section of this book that I skipped because I felt that it was useless filler. It was essentially a side quest that had no impact on the story. It could have easily been one of the times that the author shortened what happened rather than telling all the det...
It's a blast of a cast.Zac is an awesome character. I really enjoyed his adventures in this addition to the series. Ogres is also a intriguing character, but so are most of the cast that stick around Zac. The Hunt was an interesting zone, and there were thought provoking twists to the plot while Zac was in there, but I am glad the whole book was not about it. I am also glad they knocked out some of the invasions, and even more plot twists were added at the end. Worth reading!
Love this series. This is definitely one of the better series out their in this genre. The MC is very well written and likeable with easy to understand goals. The world building is top notch as the author continues to introduce new things but still keeps the storyline together. Overall it was a great book and I look forward to reading more books in this series.

Rating 5.0 stars A good continuation of the series. Since the second half of the first book this series has been really good. Not much to say really. If you liked the last couple of books there is no reason to think you won't like this one. This is turning into one of the better series of it's type.
