It's official boys, I'm Team Emory all the way. There's just something about that man/dragon that does things to me :pI really enjoyed this read, it was a barrel of fun. I really like Jinx and watching all the relationships she forms with everybody she meets. I really don't know what to think about everything happening with Stone, he feels a tad OTT compared to the last book but we move. The baddie in this one was pretty predictable but it didn't really take away from my experience any. I'm very...
“I opened Reggie’s folder and laid his crime scene pictures next to my parents’. The similarities were undeniable; the marks on the bodies were not identical but near as dammit. I felt a thrill of excitement. It really was a lead. I was almost sure that whoever had killed Reggie had also killed my parents. Book 2 picks up some weeks after the events of book 1, Jinx has now moved to Liverpool and set up her PI business with the help of Wilf, Stone has ghosted her and she is on the hunt for a murderer! When the case starts heating up she finds herself working with no other than Emory - prime dragon and prime hottie! I loved this book even more than book 1! Jinx is fast becoming one of my favourite female characters, her inner mono...
It always takes me a little while to become accustomed to the author's writing style, but once I do, it flows beautifully. These books are my ultimate comfort read, I have yet to find anything that is as easy to get through. You can just chillax and enjoy the ride. "There was fine dining," he pointed out."Pasta in a limo," I countered."There was passion," he continue like I hadn't spoken. "Dancing, drinks.""There was murder, mayhem and mutilation.""As I said, fun." I don't often use t...
