"Nothing more natural than violence". This comic waste no time. Every scene, word, image is so good.
With this issue, it feels more like the series is taking off again after getting all of us reoriented to where the characters are now.
It's not just the emotional weight of the backstory that I appreciate, but the sense of times and hardships gone by since Marko's death, which makes you feel like the "saga" has gone on for our characters even during the comic's hiatus. Once again, BKV brings forth seemingly inconsequential details from volumes past into the plot in pivotal ways that display his storytelling prowess. The Will and Gwen have not quite been engaging me thus far. But the last part holds promise and danger as we find
I have not previously read Saga in the individual issue format. It's frustrating! I want long gulps, not these tiny sips. But since I can't have that, I am beyond thrilled at the brief return of Lying Cat and The Will, and am really looking forward to number 58.
Filler-ish, still tying up some plot threads.
(A-) 83% | Very GoodNotes: Time-jump flashback explanations, blatant lies, manipulation, coded talk pre-separation, shady past stirs speculation.
ghüs and his side meats are back!!!i have been bad abut reviewing these single issues (and...everything else), but I'M GONNA!
It's good to finally go back to the immediate aftermath of the last issue before the break. I'm looking forward to what's going to happen next. *Removed reading dates so this comic won't be added to my reading challenge. Read 3.23.22.
In the last issue Alana was faced with a serious ultimatum. This issue, we get the back story of how she was able to get out of that situation. Pretty cool.
lying cat, please come back, I need you in my life!..... T_T
Another great issue of Saga, it sucks that they go so quickly and take so long to come out lol. Definitely want to write in to them
“Simple blood test or half-awake lying cat will still reveal what you really are […] A woman who soars. Even when grounded.” Okay, that went better than I was expecting... which is a little disappointing. We get a bit of backstory on what has been going on in the years we missed and though it makes sense for it to be explained I would have rather kept going without any flashbacks. It just felt like the mystery of those years was well addressed and explored as it was and, honestly, I think w
Saw this short issue just now (32 pages!) and I do what I do: Read it all at once while holding my breath. The cover indicates that this issue begins some back story on Will delivering proof of the death of his bounty target, some three years ago. Because issue #54 jumped three years ahead from volume 9, and we are missing some what-happened.We also learn why it is that Alana and her children are not slaughtered by the quasi-hippie drug-smuggling Skipper of the ship they are riding on, the same
Well THAT'S not what I expected. In a good way, I swear.More Cat, please. You tease me with this cover and then (view spoiler)[send her back to the ship?? (hide spoiler)]And I'm still not sure about (view spoiler)[Marko. (hide spoiler)] PLEASE SAGA GODS (aka BKV & FS). PLEASE.Popsugar 2022: Reflected image on the cover
