A very uneven collection of (very) short stories. At its best, it offers bittersweet, surreal vignettes of Israel, but you have to slosh through some unmemorable, underdeveloped stories to get to that.

Posiblemente, una lectura desde el contexto hispano pierda mucha de la riqueza que el contexto árabe-israelí le aporta a "Tuberías" (Siruela, 2016). Etgar Keret es un genio del relato, atrapa al lector en diferentes historias que muestran lo cotidiano, lo salvaje, lo cruel, la desesperación, la amistad, lo tierno, en fin. Una variedad de historias que nos permiten acercarnos un poquito a sus vivencias. Me encanta.

Ciekawy świat przed nami ten Keret odkrywa. Chyba najlepsza metafora dla tej książki to karty do gry Dixit. Każde opowiadanie to taka karta i tylko od nas zależy co na niej zobaczymy, jak ją odczytamy.Diabelnie inteligenta i absurdalna, a przy tym w formie tak przystępnej. It is not as good as Keret's later works, but it does expose his method (implicitly, as a sample of the author's early work, and explicitly, as in the story "Kohi 3") and shows a great writer im Werden.
Not as good as Keret's more mature work. Some of the stories are post-modernistic gems ("Kohi 3" comes to mind) but others seem more like undeveloped ideas. Three stars our of five.
Este libro me costo un poquito de trabajo leerlo a pesar de que es relativamente corto, ya que no acostumbro a leer cuentos cortos ni relatos, siempre leo novelas llenas de drama que me hacen querer continuar y continuar sin parar. Este no es un libro así, pero los relatos te hacen reflexionar sobre muchas cosas y algunos son muy inesperados. Este libro me lo habian recomendado hace mucho y espere a octubre para utilizarlo en mi RL. Lo recomiendo mucho.
Relatos breves que cumplen la función que todo buen cuento debe tener: intensidad y cohesión. No se queda ahí y Keret agrega una mezcla de buen humor, tristeza, ironía y ¿por qué no? Hasta un sentido filosófico de la existencia.
Es un libro vertiginoso, por se cuentos cortos son consisos y contundentes no te deja descansar, se lee muy rápido y son hermosos. mi favorito "Canción de cuna para el tiempo".
Veel korte verhalen die soms adembenemend mooi en soms broodnuchter zijn. Niet van alle verhalen is me duidelijk wat de clue is, maar dat is eigenlijk ook niet nodig om het boek te kunnen waarderen. De kracht ervan schuilt in het grote voorstellingsvermogen van Keret: in één boek wordt het paradijs voorgesteld als plek voor degenen die niet in staat zijn gelukkig te zijn op aarde, worden kwantums opgetekend als wezens die zich hopeloos onbegrepen voelen, gaan bussen dood en roept dit daadwerkeli...
Er zijn verhalen bij die ik onbegrijpelijk of saai vind en soms erger ik me zelfs… maar ook die zijn na een paar bladzijden afgelopen. Gelukkig hoef je er nooit veel achter elkaar te lezen om aan te belanden bij een leuk, grappig of geniaal verhaal. https://lalageleest.wordpress.com/201...
This book threw me back to when I was obsessing over Topor; only Keret is, in my humble opinion, better. Or just more contemporary and thus somewhat closer, I'm not sure. The collection gave a good overview of Keret's style and themes, and I'll look for more of his writing. But, while I greatly appreciate Keret's wit, short stories aren't really my thing anymore.
Niektóre opowiadania dostałyby 5, a niektóre 1, średnia zatem jest piękna. Warto, bo Keret nie do końca zwyczajnie opisuje wydarzenia nie do końca zwyczajne, a sztuką jest zachować równowagę.
