Another mediocre forgettable arc. World: Okay art that is par for the course, nothing that really stands out here. The world building is interesting at least, there is the stuff with the FF which is fun and deals with one of the issues from 'One More Day' and then there's the mayor stuff and the same old same old. Second half of this with the Vulture and Mayor Jameson is as very fun. I wish more writers would lean into the idea that saving people is obsessive behavior for Peter. This story did a good job with that. The FF story was fine, but I always struggle with stories that mostly exist to respond to other stories.

Paulo Siquero's art is fantastic. McCone's is meh. The FFstoryline isn't terrible, but the only point seemed to be to remove Peter from the timeline for two months and I think Spideys writers have fucked with timelines enough. Still, Jameson being mayor is awesome. Can't imagine his dad and aunt may lasting more than 20 issues though. New vulture was kind of lame and about the million in a line, and we don't need to see Peter naked in a meet cute with his new roomy.

This was quite fun! Peter and FF go to the Macroverse again but this time they get lost in there for quite some time and we see that a civil war between the Dregans and a guy called Patronus has been going on for quite some time and its becoming a lot for Peter to take in and there is the squabble with Johnny about secret identity and all, and its fascinating to see that but then peace comes in and we see a montage of events that transpire quickly since they have been trapped here for a long tim...

After most of the mess of Brand New Day got sorted out in the last book it is nice to kind of hit the reset button and have a book that almost feels like classic Spidey. He works with the Fantastic 4 and then spends a lot of time pissing of JJJ. It doesn't get much more classic then that. The wolverine story in here is great. It shows why the two work well together and is touching in a simple way. Worth a read for that story alone.

I was reading this mainly to figure out where I am in Slott's Spidey run to jump back in. His story was great. The others had various leveles of quality. Still - Spidey - always a great character.

I have tried my hand at a couple post Brand New Day story lines and I am very pleased with the direction that Marvel took Amazing Spider-Man in. I feel it is a great mix of the old Parker luck, Peter's personal life, and his life as Spider-Man. When they get back, two months have passed, so Spidey decides if Peter's been gone two months (during which May gets a boyfriend and Jonah becomes mayor) he might as well stay in costume 24/7. After the great story of the last volume this was somewhat of a let down. The Fantastic Four story was actually quite sweet, whimsical and entertaining and it's starting to address the fact that they've all forgotten who SM is. The 24/7 storyline though is poor.
