This thriller trilogy [A Novel Thriller, Eerie Shore and In The Wake of Jared Holmes] is set on the shores of Italy's magnificent Lake Como with a raucous ending in the fashion capital of Milan. It begins innocently with best-selling author Sloan in the picturesque lake district. She's there to hammer out another thriller but finds herself with a target on her back and hunted down by a notorious serial killer, "woke" by her previous novel. She had fictionalized his crimes and after decades, he begin to kill again. Miraculously a charming hotel staff comes to Sloan rescue but the fear surfaces again. He's baaaack! Jared Holmes is revived by a twisted trio of siblings on the far shore of the lake. They are heirs to a considerable fortune with a strong-willed Nonna [Granny] holding the purse strings. Jared enlists the odd bunch in his continued pursuit of the lady author, but hits a speed bump. A new hero enters the scene--INTERPOL Team Leader Micheal Archangelo [from D. L. Karabin's other book set The Archangelo Archives] takes a fishing trip there and catches a deadly case instead. The action moves to Milan as the surviving demon, an incognito Siena Furia, bargains for more than fashion on the rooftop of the magnificent Duomo where a designer charity event brings out the glitterati.
